CHAINSAW AND ARBORICULTURE

For the professional chainsaw user it is essential that you have the City and Guilds Land based Services (NPTC) Certificates of Competence at every level.

Experienced chainsaw operators and tree climbers should be getting refresher courses at least every 5 years to keep up with changes.

For the home or farm user a LANTRA certificate of training may be all that you require.

The training courses that we offer on a regular basis are;

  • CS 30. Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting. Two days of training £275 + vat LANTRA course fee. Assessment £130. Registration £55.

  • CS31. Felling Small trees. Three days of training £285 +vat NPTC assessment £120

Subject to demand, we can arrange training for;

  • CS38 Climbing and Aerial rescue; 5 days of training £475+ vat NPTC assessment £136

  • CS39 Use of a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness. Training is 2-3 days depending on experience. Price depends on the number of days required. NPTC assessment is £120

Training on arboriculture equipment includes;

Wood chippers, stump grinders and brush cutters.

These courses can be registered with LANTRA as integrated training and assessment or can lead to independent assessments for City and Guilds Land based Services (NPTC) Certificates of Competence
